【摘要】:Thisguideprovidesinstructionsforsamplingbycollectingindividualincrementsfrompartofacrosssectionofamovingstreamofcoal,asopposedtocollectionofindividualincrementsbyremovalofafullcrosssectionofmaterial.Theuseofpart-streamsampling,andthedetailedproceduresforeachcase,shouldbeagreeduponinadvancebyallpartiesconcerned.Samplescollectedbyuseofthisguidearenotprobabilitysamples.Theuseriscautionedthatsamplesofthistypedonotsatisfytheminimumrequirementsforprobabilitysamplingandassuchcannotbeusedtoobtainanymeaningfulstatisticalinferencessuchasthesamplingprecision,standarderror,orbias.Allpartiesshouldbecautionedthatmanualsamplingofcoalfromamovingstreammightnotenablesamplingofthematerialthatisfurthermostfromthepointofentryintostreambythesamplingdevice.1.1Thisguidecoversgeneralprinciplesforobtainingagrosssampleofcoalbytakingincrementsfrompartofastreamofcoalratherthanfromtheentirestreamtobesampled.Theusefulnessofresultsfromthisguidewillvarygreatlydependingonsuchfactorsastopsizeofthecoal,sizeconsistencyofthecoal,variabilityofthecoal,andsuchlogisticalfactorsastheflowrateofthecoalinprocessandphysicalaccessibilityofthesamplingstation.1.2Thisguideshouldbeusedonlywhenitisnotpossibletouseamethodofsamplingthatproducesaprobabilitysample.1.3SamplepreparationproceduresinvolvingcrushingarecontainedinPracticeD2013.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
