【摘要】:ThisstandardappliestoequipmentdesignedandintendedtobeconnectedtoaTELECOMMUNICATIONSNETWORKtermination.ItdoesnotapplytoequipmentcoveredbyEN60950.Itappliesregardlessofownershiporresponsibilityforinstallationormaintenanceoftheequipment,andregardlessofthesourceofpower.Thisstandard,inaccordancewiththe"principlesofsafety"givenintheintroductionofEN60950,coverstherequirementsandcompliancecriteriaunderthreeheadings:—protectionofequipmentusersfromhazardsintheequipment.Theuserisconsideredtobeprotectedfromhazardsintheequipmentiftheequipmentcomplieswitharelevantsafetystandard,forexampleoneofthoselistedinannexA,butcompliancewiththosestandardsisnotpartofthisstandard;—protectionofSERVICEPERSONNELworkingontheTELECOMMUNICATIONNETWORKandotherusersoftheTELECOMMUNICATIONNETWORK,fromhazardousconditionsontheTELECOMMUNICATIONNETWORKresultingfromtheconnectionoftheequipment;—protectionofequipmentusersfromvoltagesontheTELECOMMUNICATIONNETWORK.Requirementsadditionaltothosespecifiedinthisstandardmaybenecessaryfor:—equipmentintendedforoperationwhileexposed,forexample,toextremesoftemperature;toexcessivedust,moisture,orvibration;toflammablegases;tocorrosiveorexplosiveatmospheres;—electromedicalapplicationswithphysicalconnectionstothepatient.Therequirementsforthefollowingitemsarenotcoveredbythisstandard:—functionalreliabilityofequipment;—telecommunicationfacilitieswithremotesupplyusingHAZARDOUSVOLTAGE;—protectionofequipmentorTELECOMMUNICATIONNETWORKSfromdamage.
